Non-Dairy & Gluten Free Edible "Brownie Batter" V2



Non-Dairy & Gluten Free Edible Brownie Batter V2
Prep Time: 30 minutes 
Fridge Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:
3 cups of water 
1 1/2 cups (390g), Pitted Dates [next time, try softening only 1/2 dates in hot water first)
3/4 cup (120g) raw almonds or unsalted roasted cashews

1/2 tsp kosher salt
3/4 cup egg white powder (100g)
1/4 cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tbsp (25g) 100% dark chocolate bar, melted

Optional Level Ups to the Brownie Batter

2 tsp instant coffee powder
1 tbsp honey

chopped almonds
nut butter

Hardware:
Boiling Pot

Food processor (if you only have a mini food processor, split the recipe in half an do in 2 batches)

9x9 Baking Dish (honestly, any baking dish around that size will do)

Suggested Recipe:

1) Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle simmer

2) Add dates and then turn off heat. Make sure dates are spread out and completely covered with water. Let dates sit in the water for 30 minutes

3) Add nuts and salt to food processor and grind it out for about 2 minutes until get to sugar like granules. Keep in the food processor.

4) Add egg white powder and cocoa powder and blend until well incorporated. Keep in the food processor.

5) After the dates have finished soaking for 30 minutes, pour them into a colander or sieve to drain out all of the water. Give them a shake to get out any water hiding in their holes.

6) Add dates to the food processor and blend until it forms a paste.

7) Use a spatula to scrape out the paste into a serving bowl.

8) Put in the fridge for 2 hours to chill.
